Pfc Letourneau is the son of Peter W Letourneau [b1899 in Carver, Mass] a garage mechanic and the son of Blanche Letourneau [b. 1903 in Mass].
The 1930 US Census for Middleburgh, Plymouth County, Mass shows Eugene residing at Wood Street with his parents and 2 brothers, Bernard [b. 6-16-1922 and died May, 1974] and Robert [b. 10-12-1928 and died May, 1979] and sister Blanche [b. 1925].
Pfc Letourneau enlisted in the Army on Nov 2, 1942 at Fort Devens, Mass. His enlistment record state Eugene had completed grammar school and was employed as a railway section hand.
Pfc Letourneau was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and the Croix de Guerre Unit Citation [French].
It is not known where Pfc Letourneau is interred
