- This recent newspaper article honors Colonel Delbert Kuehl who was one of the Chaplains of the 504th PIR during WW II. During Operation Market Garden then Captain Kuehl made the famous Waal River Crossing with the men of the 3rd Battalion under the command of Major Julian Cook.
